	The year was 1792. In Osaka, Japan, Lion Office Products was founded to manufacture and distribute a line of office supplies to business and industry. Today, Lion has emerged as one of the largest suppliers of office products in the world. Two ultra modern distribution centers in Japan, plus 100 manufacturing operations, employ some 5,000 people in many nations. Together, this multi-national team generates $500 million in annual sales of over 20,000 different office products ranging from simple paper clips to elegant executive office furniture. Having survived as a growing and successful business enterprise over 200 years of wide-ranging economic conditions, political turmoil and devastating wars, Lion has truly stood the test of time-thanks primarily to the loyalty and support of our customers. 1792	Kohachiro FUKUI established his company in the name of IMAZUYA dealing in writing materials called "Fude" in Japanese.
1881	Started handling modern stationery such as Pen-nib, Ink and using the trade-mark Lion.
1921	Reorganized IMAZUYA into FUKUI SHOTEN Co., Ltd. A wide range of stationery products were sold, such as pencils, fountain pens, punches, numbering machines, files, drawing instruments etc.
1937	Hirano Factory was set up, which was an antecedence of FUKUI Industry Co., Ltd.
1945	Changed the firm name to FUKUI & Co., Ltd.
1964	Lion Filing Co., Ltd. was set up to manufacture various kind of files.
1972	Lion Office Products, Inc. was established in the United States.
1980	Changed the firm name to Lion Office Products Corp. Singapore Representative Office was opened. (This office has been already closed and activities were succeeded by our local distributor.)
1988	Aioi Distribution Center in Hyogo pref. was set up to serve western Japan.
1989	Otone Distribution Center in Saitama pref. was set up to serve eastern Japan.
1990	Europe Representative Office was opened in the Netherlands. (This office has been closed and activities were succeeded by our local distributor.)
1991	Presentation Center was opened in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
1992	200th anniversary events were held in Los Angeles.
1998	Taiwan Representative Office was incorporated and started as Lion Office Products (Taiwan) Corp.
1999	Lion Office Products Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established in China.
2008	Formed capital and business alliance with Otsuka Corporation.
2009	Started NAVILION, a mail-order service for offices.
2014	Opened the showroom WORK PALETTE at the head office.
